We searched for a clothier as storied as the third generation family business that makes all of our custom shirts. Southwick, a Massachusetts-based suit maker, has been outfitting Presidents, ambassadors and gentlemen from all walks of life since 1929.
From there we spent the past six months working with their master tailor to develop a fit that is distinctly ours. The fit is defined by a soft shoulder and a tailored silhouette that tapers from a high arm hole down to shorter and more modern coat tails. The trousers are tailored in the seat and thigh with a slight taper below the knee.
Whether you are in search of custom suiting, shirting or both, you can set up an appointment by shooting a note to our tailor Ryan Devens at ryan@taylorstitch.com.
If you can't stop by don't worry, Michelle will be available for office or home appointments in the San Francisco Bay Area.

We have been making custom tailored dress and casual shirts for the past four years. Each shirt is cut, sewn and finished by hand. The age-old process is carried out by a 3rd generation family business in Newark, NJ that has been making custom shirts for over 85 years.
Once you have been measured, we work with you to develop fits and styles. The shirts will be delivered to the shop in four to five weeks. After arrival, you will come in for a fitting. The fit is then perfected, and your custom pattern is saved for future shirts.
The price of the shirts varies depending on the fabric you choose. Our fabrics range in price from $150–$350.
If you have any questions about our custom shirt program, please send us a message.
