How to Measure

  • 1

    Chest

Button up the shirt and lay it flat on a hard surface. Measure across the chest area of the shirt about an inch down from the underarm seam, and double that for the full chest measurement.

  • 2

    Neck

Spread out and flatten the collar, and measure the circumference from the center of the top button to the edge of the buttonhole.

  • 3

    Shoulder

Measure straight across the back of the shirt, from one shoulder seam to the other.

  • 4

    Sleeve Length

Measure from the top of the shoulder seam to the end of the cuff. Next, measure from the center back of the neck seam to the shoulder seam. Add these two values to get your sleeve measurements.

  • 5

    Length

Measure straight down the back of the shirt, from the center of the neck seam to the bottom of the shirt’s hem.

Our take on the traditional wool overshirts pulled from the hardworking history of New England fishing communities, The Maritime Shirt Jacket is a no-nonsense staple in any wardrobe. All of the classic details remain (including those distinctive oversized chest pockets), but we’ve opted for some dark horn buttons for a little extra sophistication. With meticulous tailoring, The Maritime Shirt Jacket in Port Twill is sharp enough for a night on the town, while soft and burly wool construction means you’ll stay cozy, even if a wicked nor'easter rolls in.

The recipe for our Maritime Shirt Jacket showcases the value of keeping things simple, leaning on incredibly soft double face wool and timeless design cues for easy to wear comfort that looks great with just about anything.
