Inspired by a vintage FFA jacket our Product Designer, Nick purchased while back home in Texas, our new Piston Jacket takes on the classic Harrington silhouette, rendered in rich, organic cotton indigo corduroy. This particular iteration was custom embroidered by our friends over at Dixon Rand, a made to order men's apparel maker rooted in a design aesthetic tied to the American West. Each stitch tells a story through their skilled handiwork and embodies the pioneering spirit that has defined the region as we know it.
There’s not a lot of organic cotton corduroy floating around, and we’d never seen anyone make a jacket like this out of it. Most corduroy you have to be pretty gentle with (and typically dry clean), but this jacket can take a beating without matting out. Similar to a great pair of jeans, the Piston's rich indigo coloring will fade beatifuly with each wear, meaning that each jacket will become distinctive to its owner. Next time someone asks what you do or where you've been, just point to your Piston and let the jacket tell the tale.
