Cone Mills developed a denim that is woven with Twaron. This 12.5 oz. fabric is four times more abrasion resistant than heavyweight denim and is woven with a touch of stretch for improved movement and comfort.
12.5 oz. Cone Mills Twaron Denim
Twaron in the warp means less heft in the weft. Developed in Japan as a contender to Dupont Kevlar, Twaron is a ballistic fiber that is woven in with nylon and indigo cotton. The Twaron is concentrated in the face side of the fabric to create incredible abrasion resistance. This denim will fade and wash beautifully, move with your body, transfer heat and moisture and save your ass, literally.
