What is a trucker jacket?

The trucker jacket got its start, as one might expect, in the cabs of long haul truck drivers in the US. Evolving out of denim jackets worn by cowboys in pre-1950s America, the trucker jacket held onto that shorter hem (working just as well for sitting in the driver’s seat as it did the saddle) but introduced a more tailored, less boxy fit. While traditionally rendered in denim, our Long Haul Jacket has seen some truly unique materials and colorways over the years. Learn more about the history of the trucker jacket on our Journal.

How do you style trucker jackets?

Excluding black tie events, the trucker jacket looks great with just about anything, bringing rugged curb appeal to a trim, flattering silhouette. Throw it over an oxford shirt with some selvedge denim for a casual look with subtle country vibes, or create unique visual appeal by pairing it with some trousers and a button down. Of course, the all-season go-to fit for us would have to be the classic trucker jacket, t-shirt, and jeans combo. Have fun with it, The Long Haul is as versatile as it is durable.
