Waist
Button your pants if applicable and lay it flat. Measure edge to edge along the back waistband, with the waist pulled flat but not stretched. Then, multiply this number by two.

Rise
Measure from the crotch seam straight up to the middle of the front waistband.

Thigh
Measure straight across the leg about an inch down from the crotch.

Knee
Measure 13” from the crotch seam. From there, measure straight across to get the knee measurement

Measure from one side of the leg opening to the other.

Waist
Wrap a measuring tape around the narrowest part of your waist, typically an inch above your belly button. The tape should be snug, but still sit comfortably around your waist.

Did you know that Carmel, California doesn’t use traditional street addresses? Instead of punching numbers into a GPS, newcomers are encouraged to explore to learn the lay of the land. We wanted to devise a trouser that would aid in that exploration—ultra comfortable, expertly tailored, and easy to dress up or down depending on where the day takes you. With The Carmel Pant, you don’t have to stress about your destination—just do us a favor and appreciate the journey.
Material
When people see the word “wool,” their first concern is the fiber’s infamous itch. Luckily, this Italian blend of viscose, recycled polyester, and wool (plus a touch of stretch for easy mobility) has a remarkably soft hand feel—and a luxurious look to match. We’ve gone all out in terms of comfort with The Carmel Pant, equipping it with elastic on the backside of the waistband and an internal drawcord for a forgiving fit that’s easy to adjust. Rounding out the package is a YKK zipper fly, plus easy-entry slash pockets in the front and button-through welt pockets in the back.
