Waist
Button your pants if applicable and lay it flat. Measure edge to edge along the back waistband, with the waist pulled flat but not stretched. Then, multiply this number by two.

Rise
Measure from the crotch seam straight up to the middle of the front waistband.

Thigh
Measure straight across the leg about an inch down from the crotch.

Knee
Measure 13” from the crotch seam. From there, measure straight across to get the knee measurement

Measure from one side of the leg opening to the other.

Wrap a measuring tape around the narrowest part of your waist, typically an inch above your belly button. The tape should be snug, but still sit comfortably around your waist.

Material
In the 19th century, linen became a popular alternative to heavier materials like flannels and tweeds for formalwear—especially in warmer climates. Beyond its breathability, linen offers impressive durability and color fastness (resistance to fading), so garments like The Sheffield Trouser look and feel great wear after wear, year after year. Though it’s true that linen is most commonly spotted in the summer thanks to its lighter weight, this understated Cocoa colorway looks great year round.
