For those who know GORUCK, the GR1 needs no introduction. It’s an overbuilt workhorse of a backpack featuring bomb-proof laptop protection, meticulously dialed-in ergonomics, and a slew of functional pockets and features. Built in the USA and field tested by US Special Forces, the GR1 is about as badass as a backpack can get. So with this limited edition model from our GORUCK collaboration, we simply added our own flavors to a winning recipe by using 100% organic cotton waxed canvas from our buddies at Halley Stevensons and finishing it in our iconic Raindrop Camo colorway. Because if it ain’t broke, don't fix it; and the GR1 doesn’t break easy.
Material
From top to bottom, the GR1 is an overbuilt workhorse. From its shoulder straps with extra padding for lugging heavy loads to the YKK hardware with silent zipper pulls made from parachute cordage to the bomb-proof laptop compartment, it’s an American-made juggernaut of a backpack. Finished in waxed organic cotton that will pick up character with every mile, and since it's TSA-compliant, there’s no limit to the miles you can go.

- Bombproof laptop compartment next to your back is extra reinforced and has a false bottom so that when you set your ruck down, your laptop won't even notice.
- A removable, hard plastic frame sheet stabilizes the laptop compartment and allows you to carry more weight comfortably.
- Multiple pockets: 3 internal pockets: 1 large elastic pocket, 1 large mesh zippered pocket, and 1 small go-to pocket.
- External slant pocket: 1 external slant pocket for quick access to keys, snacks, and other small items.
- MOLLE attachments: 3 rows of external and internal MOLLE webbing let you customize GR1 how you want.
- Rainproof: Our rucks are highly water resistant, aka rainproof.
